This year, the festival is looking for creative wine enthusiasts who can produce a one to three minute video about their favourite BC winery, wine story or BC wine experience. Think: condensed version of bo Bottleshock.
What’s in it for you? If chosen as a finalist, you’ll have the opportunity to see your submission gloriously screened against the plush backdrop of Osoyoos Lake and get a chance to rub elbows with some celebrities and media at the Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos, BC. More importantly, you could win $2500, $1500 or $750 in cash and wine! The event takes place on Saturday, June 11th at 7:30.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to June 3rd, 2011. So what are you waiting for? Lights, camera, Vinos!
Want to catch up on what you could be up against? You can see some of last year’s Vinos submissions on YouTube. Here’s one of our personal favourites: Talens’ and Armstrong’s “With BC Wine, We are Kings!” which won 3rd prize.

It’s inspiring to see so many innovative artistic ideas emerging in BC, and one we’re particularly vested in is Kelowna Mountain. We’ve been working hard to showcase the thriving opportunities available at this multi-phased development consisting of a 36 acre and 640 acre parcel of land that will inveitably be home to an amazing selection of vacation and adventure opportunities, estates and you guessed it, vineyards.
This new venture significantly adds to BC’s tourist appeal as Kelowna Mountain makes room for a world class golf course and skil hill complete with ski lift! Their fabulous Monto Grigio estate will not only offer luxurious residential opportunities with unbeatable views, but will also be home to a neighbourhood commercial centre that will house a community theatre, a children’s fine arts centre, a montesorri pre-school, corner store, medical clinic, seniors complex and a quaint coffee shop.
Stay up to date with the latest developments on the Kelowna Mountain website, and for our friends abroad, the website now offers Chinese character translation. You can also catch up with Kelowna Mountain on Twitter: @kelownamountain
